  5.     This archive contains scripts, files and modifications I have come up
  6. with to make life for ME a little bit easier when using Jam-Mail as my front
  7. end mailer package with the CNet Amiga BBS Software, v3.05c.
  8.  
  9.     It should be noted that I've included NONE of the actual JamMail binary
  10. files, and that it is expected that you have the latest version of JamMail
  11. up and running on your systems BEFORE attempting to use these files.
  12.  
  13.     The version of JamMail I am using, as of this writing is:

  15.         JAMMAIL : JamMail 0.98.807 Jan 14 1995 (13:09:41)

  17.     It should ALSO be NOTED that ALL of these files are working perfectly
  18. for me at the time of this writing, so problems which may occur are more
  19. probably problems on YOUR end, instead of a problem with one of these
  20. scripts. Your problems could range from a bad setting value to specific
  21. hardware problems.

  23.     Each directory in this archive has a "!Dir_Contents!" file located inside
  24. of it. This file will tell you about all included files within that directory,
  25. as well as some instructions on their usages. It may also tell you the names
  26. of files NOT included in this archive, but that DO appear in this directory
  27. on my system. (These could be anything from JamMail executables to files
  28. written by me that I'm not 100% satisfied with)
  29.  
  30.     Most of the actual scripts and Arexx files have comments in them which
  31. should further aid you in figuring out what each file does.
  32.  
  33.     I have made sure that the directory structure of this archive MATCHES
  34. that used on my system, as the scripts and files included here use this
  35. structure in locating the files to be launched. If you use a different
  36. structure on your system, you will have to rewrite portions of some of the
  37. files to reflect where YOU have those files stored.
  38.  
  39.     There are three types of files included in this archive:
  40.  
  41.         Poll-Script1
  42.         Poll-Script2  - are both DOS scripts.
  43.  
  44.         Files ending in ".rexx" are written in straight ARexx, meaning they
  45.             are launched using the RX command, instead of through CNet.
  46.  
  47.         Files in the "pfiles:fido/" directory are written in CNet-ARexx and
  48.             are NOT meant to be run from outside of CNet Amiga.
  49.  
  50.     Keep this in mind if you should edit any of these files. It is very
  51. important that you not tell one of these files to do something it doesn't
  52. know how to do. This may cause you more grief than you wanted.
